Patrick Kaleta stated on Saturday night that he expects to be back this coming weekend against either the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday or Syracuse Crunch on Saturday, he has played only two games this season.
When asked if he’s really ready to go for the rest of the season he smiled and said, “I sure am planning on it!” He has been out with a groin injury that has plagued him from training camp with the Buffalo Sabres.
Patrick Kaleta became a fan favorite last year with his hard hitting style of hockey. In the 06/07 season he played 58 games with the Amerks for 5 goals, 10 assists, and a whopping 133 penalty minutes. He also played in 7 games for the Buffalo Sabres where he tallied 2 assists and 21 penalty minutes, he is best known for his part in the brawl versus the Ottawa Senators.
