Just as we learn that Keaton Ellerby does not have a broken finger and is day to day the team lost another defenseman in Jason Garrison on Sunday evening. In the first period against the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday Jason Garrison wound up for a slap shot from the blue line and as his stick hit the puck his stick snapped in two. He tried to play again after that but ended up leaving the first period with about five minutes left. He came back in the second period and played one shift before calling it a game.
After the game when asked if it was good or bad he replied with, “bad.” He said that his stick didn’t give at all when he hit the puck and then he felt the pain in his back.
