It was a standard practice on Thursday afternoon for the Amerks. There was no yelling, no speeches, just some drills. One of those drills was the power play unit working without a defense.

If you can’t score playing 5 on 4 maybe working on cycling the puck without any defenders can help? I’m not a coach so what do I know, maybe they’re on to something. We’ll see tomorrow.

The Abbotsford Heat are a team that has been suffering from injury problems lately so I think it’s ok to say we should expect a quality and entertaining game on Friday night. Former Amerk goalie David Shantz could be the opposing goaltender.

Everyone is getting fiesty with the recent play of the team so anything short of a win on Friday will be a let down. I’ll even go as far as saying if the team does not win it could get ugly in the arena.

Kevin O will probably have more over at Hockey O-Zone, I had to leave practice before they left the ice.
