Since it was made official that the Buffalo Sabres had bought the Rochester Americans and the roster was analyzed the need for scoring was pointed as a weak spot in the lineup for Rochester. Â After discussing the signing of Jhonas Enroth, Darcy Regier talked to the media and as usual Rochester was brought up and he was asked if he still wanted to add more players.
Darcy Regier responded with, “We’re still looking to add some scoring in Rochester, we’ve got quite a bit of depth there. I think if we can add some scoring that’s probably the focal point.”
Discussing the goaltending Regier said, “Both MacIntyre, obviously is an elite goaltender at the American League level. David Leggio came in from Finland last year, he’s a local talen and was outstanding backing up Jhonas and took over for Jhonas when Jhonas was here (in Buffalo). I think that’s as good of a one two punch in the American Hockey League that exists.”
