Well, the Rochester Americans will have a preseason game after all!  They’ve scheduled a game for this Friday vs University of Western Ontario Mustangs at 7pm.  First thoughts are who are they?  Is this a joke?  A university team from Canada?  It’s real.  Western Ontario was ranked 5th in the Canadian Interuniversity Sports rankings for men’s ice hockey last season.
This could turn out to be a more competitive game than playing against another American Hockey League opponent. Â The Amerks will want to make sure they don’t lose to some university players and the university players will want to put a win against a professional team in the books.
No pressure guys, no pressure!
The price is either $5 or free if you’re a kid playing for a youth hockey team or high school or college student with ID.
