There’s less than a week to go until free agency begins on July 1st and the Buffalo Sabres announced they’ll extend qualifying offers to six of nine restricted free agents. The Buffalo Sabres announced that they will not extend offers to Victor Antipin, Jason Kasdorf and Scott Wilson.
On July 1st it’s expected that they’ll try and sign Scott Wilson to a new contract. Victor Antipin had a contract that prevented him from being sent to the AHL and with so much depth on defense the team has decided to move on.
The remaining restricted free agents who did get qualifying offers are Sam Reinhart, Nicholas Baptiste, Justin Bailey, Sean Malone, Danny O’Regan and C.J. Smith.
Unrestricted players that have not signed anywhere at this time: Colin Blackwell, Seth Griffith, Sahir Gill, Stuart Percy, Garret Ross, Jason Kasdorf, Barry Goers, Daniel Muzito-Bagenda, Dalton Smith, Brian Gionta, Myles Powell, Eric Knodel.
