Tuesday Morning Practice and Other News
It’s game day in Rochester and the Amerks are on the ice for their morning skate getting warmed up. It’s an exciting day for one big reason, “the record.” That’s something that matters to just about everyone but the players and coaches. That’s something you can believe. Until it’s been mentioned to the team about …

Appears as if goalie Tyler Plante has been given the green light to return to action. Chris Beckford-Tseu has been sent back to the Florida Everblades. Plante had hurt his knee during the October 21st game vs the Binghamton Senators when he was run over multiple times in net.

Protecting the Goalie; Gameday Amerks vs Rats
The Amerks travel to Albany tonight to try and revenge their only regular season loss of the season. The Amerks played a lousy game on October and lost 6-1 to the River Rats. I wrote after that game that the they were slow, they were rarely able to generate consistent offense, and they looked tired. …

4th Straight Win for the Amerks
The Amerks defeated the Binghamton Senators on Wednesday night to extend their winning streak to four games. The last time the Amerks won four straight was the first week of November 2007. I have not looked yet to find when the last time they won five straight in fear of jinxing the situation. Assuming this …

Brines OT Winner Caps an Incredible Comeback
The Rochester Americans pulled together for a great comeback on the road Saturday afternoon in Toronto. They were down 3-0 after the first period and it sounded like it was going to be a horrible game. The Amerks gave the Marlies five, yes five power play opportunities in the first period. The Marlies scored on …

Amerks Special Teams Dominates the Marlies
The Rochester Americans did on Friday night what the Toronto Marlies did to them last season, dominated the game and won big. This was an exciting game to watch and a game that made me really think that this team is the real deal. The Amerks beat the Toronto Marlies 5-2 with two power play …

Cheesy Title Time.. Amerks Crunch Syracuse!
If the Amerks can continue the style of game they played on Monday night they should be able to start winning some fans back into the building. Everyone scored who is supposed to score. The four goals were scored by Chris Taylor, Graham Mink, Jeff Taffe, and Michal Repik. Four players that are here for …

Rats Win Big Against the Amerks; Only the Third Game
The easiest thing to do is just say it, the Amerks were destroyed in Albany on Saturday night. They were slow, they were rarely able to generate consistent offense, and they looked tired. There’s no excuses. The team should have been going off the momentum of Friday nights win and carried into Saturday. Instead it …
